Volt League Plus

The stage is set for a new chapter in the Volt League story — the official launch of Volt League Plus, our new Third Division created to elevate the league’s structure, improve club development, and increase opportunities for ambitious teams to rise within a competitive and sustainable ecosystem.

Volt League Plus isn’t just another division. It’s a platform — designed to help clubs grow, develop community ties, and build their projects with purpose. This division offers a chance for clubs to align with our long-term vision, not just competitively, but culturally and financially. The goal is simple: create one of the most competitive and well-rounded league systems in the U.S., both on and off the pitch.

This new division also marks an important milestone as Volt League officially enters into affiliation with USSSA, which will allow participating clubs to become eligible for national tournaments and entry into the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup — a major step in legitimizing our league within the national soccer landscape.

This inaugural season of Volt League Plus will play a key role in the final restructuring of the entire Volt League pyramid. Clubs that demonstrate competitive quality and financial sustainability will be evaluated for future promotion into Division 2 — while those still developing their infrastructure and consistency will continue building in Volt League Plus, with a clear path upward.

So what does this mean for the clubs? It means Volt League is taking serious, strategic steps to strengthen its foundation and ensure that only committed, sustainable, and ambitious projects are part of the top flight. It’s not just about results — it’s about the project behind the badge.

A Look at the Teams

We’re excited to welcome a mix of new and returning clubs for this season:

  • USSP and ANSA Lions, both academy-driven clubs, are strong early favorites with serious ambitions of promotion.

  • Ghosttown Saints FC enters its second team into Volt League Plus, continuing their mission of expansion and laying the groundwork for a full academy system.

  • Green Flag FC and FC Night Watch return after past stints in Division 1 — looking to rebuild and relaunch with lessons learned from the challenges of top-flight competition.

  • Woodlands Aztecas United makes its debut, ready to make a name for itself and represent a new part of the city.

It’s an exciting mix of hunger, potential, and redemption.
