After purchasing a registration through the league website or through team leader it means you agree with all these rules and there won’t be a refund.

 

READ RULES BEFORE COMMITTING TO A TEAM

 

Number of players

 

The match is played 7 v 7

No more than 7 players for each team can be on the pitch, one of those 7 players is a GK.

 

Substitutes

Unlimited Substitutes.

Referee must be informed of the substitution.

Players that are ready for a substitution must enter the field from the middle.

The substitution occurs at referees discretion.

Players must follow substitution procedure.

 

Failure to show up sanctions

  • The clock starts running at the time of set fixture

  • Teams need at least 5 players on the field for the game to start

  • Teams that fail to have 5 players on the field after 5 minutes it will result in 1 goal against them after 10 minutes another goal will be sanctioned against and after 15 minutes of a team being late will result in a 3-0 forfeit

  • On the pitch forfeit can result in a $100 fine or a 3 point deduction

 

Forfeits

  • 3-0 Game Loss will be marked for teams that forfeit

  • Teams are not allowed to forfeit within 24 hours prior to scheduled fixture

  • Teams that forfeit without a 24 hour notice can result in points deduction and monetary fine up tp $100

  • Teams that fail to pay the fine prior their next game will not be allowed to play and another $100 fine will added + a 3-0 forfeit

Safety

A player must not use equipment or wear anything that is dangerous to himself or another player (including jewelry of any kind)

* Digital Watches or Watches of any kind are not permitted

 

Basic Equipment

The basic compulsory equipment of a player comprises the following separate items:

  • A teams issued jersey - if undergarments are worn, the color of the sleeve must be the same as the as the main color of the the jersey or the jersey’s sleeves

  • Shorts - if undershorts or tights are worn, they must be the same as main color of issued shorts

  • Stockings - if tape or similar material is applied externally it must be the same color as that part of the stocking is applied. Stockings that are branded must be Adidas if not players must cover the logo of branded stocking

  • Socks - when a player cuts the bottom of issued socks the main socks must be over the regular ankle size socks.

Shinguards are enforced

 

Colors

  • The two teams must wear colors that distinguish them from each other in this case the jersey, referees and goal keepers must wear colors than distinguish them from the other players

 

 

Equipment Infringements and sanctions

In the event of any infringement of this Rule:

  • Play need not be stopped

  • The player at fault is instructed by the referee to leave the field of play to correct his equipment

  • The player leaves the field of play when the next ball ceases to be in play

  • Any player that leaves the field of play to correct equipment can not re-enter the field of play without referee’s permission

 

 

 

Authority of the referee

Each match is controlled by the referee who has full authority to enforce laws of the game.

 

Authority of the Volt League Staff

Every Sunday staff members will assist to enforce equipment rules and spatial rules as making sure players are seated in their designated area as well as family, friends or fans as well as not allowing teams or players to play if referee fees, fines etc are not paid. Staff members do not interfere with in game decisions made by the referee.

Powers and duties by referee

  • enforces the Laws of the Game

  • ensures that any ball used meets the requirements.

  • ensures that the players’ equipment meets the requirements.

  • acts as timekeeper and keeps a record of the match.

  • stops, suspends or abandons the match, at his discretion, for any

  • infringements of the Laws.

  • stops, suspends or abandons the match because of outside interference of any kind.

  • stops the match if, in his opinion, a player is seriously injured and ensures hat he is removed from the field of play.

  • An injured player may only return to the field of play after the match has restarted.
    allows play to continue until the ball is out of play if a player is, in his  opinion, only slightly injured  ensures that any player bleeding from a wound leaves the field of play.

  • The player may only return on receiving a signal from the referee, who must be  satisfied that the bleeding has stopped

  • allows play to continue when the team against which an offense has been committed will benefit from such an advantage and penalizes the original  offense if the anticipated advantage does not ensue at that time  punishes the more serious offense when a player commits more than one offense at the same time.
    takes disciplinary action against players guilty of cautionable and sending-off offenses. He is not obliged to take this action immediately but must do so when the ball next goes out of play.

 

Slide tackle rule

  • Only goal keepers are allowed to slide tackle to stop a play outside or inside the box

  • Players are not allowed to slide tackle another player to stop or steal the ball.

  • Intentional slide tackles result in an automatic yellow card

  • Once a players knee touches the ground when trying to steal the ball from another player counts as a slide tackle

  • While a player might slip when trying to steal the ball from another player will count as a foul but it is to the referees discretion wether to give out a yellow card or just caution the player

  • Players are allowed to slide when stopping a shot that is at a fair distance from the player taking a shot and it is not close to be dangerous enough to injure a player.

  • Players that strike the ball first followed with a slide as that play action takes place are allowed to score

  • Clean or not clean slide tackles when trying to retrieve the ball from another player will count as foul

 

Indirect/Direct Free Kicks

It is purely at the referees discretion.

 

Goals

  • Goals can be scored from anywhere on the field from any players including the GK

  • Goal from throw ins are not allowed unless it has first touched a player from own or opposite team

Referee fee

$20 per team (no cash)

 

Red/Yellow Cards

  • direct red card result in 1 game ban + a $25 Fine

  • 2 yellow cards result in $35 fine or 1 game ban

  • 4 yellow card accumulation results in $35 fine

 

Basic/Standard rules

  • Corner kick

  • Goal kick

  • No kick off goals, a player must touch the ball first after kick-off

  • No offsides

  • Throw ins

  • Direct/indirect Free kicks

  • 30 minute halves

  • 3 minute rest in between halves

  • Direct and indirect free kicks

  • No offisides

  • No slide tackles

  • Unlimited Substitutes

  • Decisions made at referees discretion

 

Throw in procedure

  • Feet must be on the ground

  • Ball must be released when the ball is over the head

 

Free Kicks

Free kicks will be called at referees discretion

6 steps of space for free kick taker (player must ask the referee for the space)

A quick free can take place only if the ref is being aware of the play

Players that stop showing up

  • Players are not entitled to keep a spot in the league if they miss more than 4 games (volt cup does not count as an absence)

  • After a player misses 4 games the team leader/organizer can replace the player

  • Missing 4 games can result in a ban from the league

  • Injured players must turn in their kit the team leader in order to be put in the injured player list so it does not affect an absence

 

Transfer Market Window

Transfer window opens on week 5 and closes on at the end of week 7 of the league

When the transfer window is open teams can add players to their roster or trade players

Transfer window is the only time where players will be added.

Only 3 new Players can be added to each team

If a team has suffered from injuries or player quitting the max cap of adding new players will be 4-5 during transfer window

Cost to add players $175 during transfer window

 

Roster Capacity

  • 16 Players per squad is the max capacity

  • 12 Players are needed for a team to count as completed

 

Live Games

  • All players must follow live games protocols

  • Players must follow staff directions when Live games are going on

Racism / Hate

  • Racism of any kind will not be tolerated and it results in an permanent ban

  • Hate over social media will result in a $60 ban or a permanent ban

  • Insults on Live Games will not be tolerated it can result in a 2-3 game ban

  • Insults towards staff members during game time or social media will result in $75 fine or a permanent ban

  • Fights will be investigated and players involved will be fined and permanently banned

No refunds

No refunds will be given to injured players, banned players or players that decide to quit.
