Week 15 brings one of the most anticipated matchups of the season as MAFC, current leaders of the Volt League table, face off against the surging Ghosttown Saints FC, who have climbed into 2nd place after a remarkable run of form.


Both teams enter this clash riding a winning streak, making this a true showdown between two of the league’s most in-form squads. For Ghosttown Saints, the story of the season has been one of evolution. What started as a rocky campaign has now turned into a serious title challenge. Under the leadership of Edgard Prado and Wilder Serrato, Ghosttown has built a team defined by pace, skill, and clinical finishing.


Their statement win last weekend over a weakened AC Juniors side — who were missing their top scorer Geo Castañeda — was a historic moment for the club, cementing their status as legitimate contenders. Now, the Saints face their biggest test yet: MAFC.

The two teams already met earlier in the season, with MAFC narrowly defeating Ghosttown 4-3 in a thrilling first-leg encounter. Despite the close scoreline, MAFC looked more composed and dominant across most of that match, showcasing the depth and balance that have kept them at the top of the table.


Led by Manager/President Sebastian Zalazar, MAFC have looked like champions-in-the-making all season. With only one loss in 14 games, they’ve combined depth, discipline, and tactical balance. Even with Luis Cunemo not yet at his peak after returning from injury, his clutch moments have repeatedly been decisive. The midfield, anchored by Sánchez, Pettas, Andrade, and Ale Cunemo, has consistently controlled games, setting the tempo and feeding a dangerous front line featuring Mwarabu, Garcia, and Cunemo himself.

Defensively, Baich and Blanco have formed a rock-solid partnership, while fullbacks Lenry Gallo and Memba have quietly had standout seasons on both ends of the pitch.

But Ghosttown Saints are not short on talent either. With a core of standout players like Jovan, Camilo, Lugo, Mahecha, Castelan, and Jory, the Saints have the pieces to challenge any team in the country — including the current league leaders.
